2018 International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Harvard Law School Project on Disabilties commemorates the 2018 United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) today. Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been observed every December 3rd around the world. The theme of this year's ISPD is “Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”

Executive Director Michael Stein is attending events at the United Nations as the U.N. focuses on the empowering persons with disabilities for the inclusive, equitable and sustainable development envisaged in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Professor Stein offers his "Regards from the United Nations where we're celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The theme of today's celebration is how to implement the Sustainable Development Goals so as to best advance the rights of Persons with Disabilities."
